These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of eefernal.cc, related download endpoints on our CDN, and publicly described Eefernal Fog project materials (together, the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, do not use the Website or download the launcher.

1. Who we are

Eefernal Fog is a community project providing private-server related tools and information for Dead by Daylight enthusiasts. Contact for project matters is primarily through our Discord: discord.gg/9ef5DJVdA4.

2. What the Services are

The Services may include:

  • This Website and announcements
  • Launcher download links hosted on our CDN
  • Links to community spaces (Discord) and support pages (Ko-fi)

The Services are provided for personal, non-commercial use unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing.

3. Eligibility and responsibility

  • You must comply with applicable law in your country, including game publisher terms and local rules about private servers, reverse engineering, and online play.
  • You are responsible for how you use the launcher, builds, and any third-party content you obtain through community channels.
  • You confirm you have authority to install software on the devices you use.

4. Unofficial project — relationship to Behaviour Interactive

Dead by Daylight is owned by Behaviour Interactive Inc. and its licensors. Eefernal Fog is an unofficial fan / community project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Behaviour Interactive unless we explicitly say otherwise. All related trademarks and game assets remain their owners’ property.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Attempt to disrupt, overload, or compromise the Website, CDN, or servers
  • Scrape or harvest data in a way that harms service availability
  • Use the Services to distribute malware or phishing
  • Harass others or violate Discord’s or other platforms’ rules when interacting with our community
  • Misrepresent affiliation with Eefernal Fog or Behaviour Interactive
  • Use the Services for unlawful activity

6. Downloads and software

Launcher and related files are provided “as is”. You download and run them at your own risk. Keep backups of important data. We may change, update, or withdraw downloads without notice. You should only download from official Eefernal Fog URLs we publish.

7. Donations

Optional support via Ko-fi is handled by Ko-fi under their terms. Unless we state a specific reward in writing, donations do not purchase ownership, votes, or guaranteed features.

8. Intellectual property

Website design, original text, and original project branding we create are owned by us or used under licence. You may not copy the site for commercial reuse without permission. You may share links to the Website.

9. Third-party links

Links to Discord, Ko-fi, image hosts, or other sites are outside our control. Their terms and privacy practices apply when you leave our Website.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Services are provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that downloads will be compatible with your system.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Eefernal Fog and its contributors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Services. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you donated to us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) EUR 50.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence where such rules apply).

12. Privacy

Personal data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

13. Suspension and changes

We may suspend or stop parts of the Services at any time. We may update these Terms; the “Last updated” date will change. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms where permitted by law.

14. Governing law

These Terms are intended to be interpreted under the laws applicable to consumers in your country of residence where mandatory consumer protections apply. Otherwise, disputes will be handled in good faith via our Discord community first.
